A compassionate, evidence-based approach to neuroaffirming psychological assessment — identifying and understanding each individual’s unique neurotype, including Autism, ADHD, learning profiles, and related differences, through a trauma-informed and strengths-based lens.

Autism Identification

A comprehensive, neuroaffirming assessment process that explores social communication, sensory processing, and patterns of thinking and behaviour to understand an individual’s unique neurotype. Our approach is compassionate, evidence-based, and trauma-informed — helping to identify Autism in a way that celebrates neurodiversity and informs meaningful support.

Dr Renee Cachia is experienced in using the ADOS-2 and the MIGDAS (a strengths-based, sensory-informed interview style), paired with semi-structured parent interviews and developmental histories to ensure a thorough, person-centred understanding. Dr Renee has been working in Autism identification and early intervention for over 10 years.

ADHD Identification

An in-depth, neuroaffirming assessment that explores attention, executive functioning, self-regulation, and energy patterns to understand how the ADHD neurotype uniquely presents in each individual. Our approach highlights both strengths and areas of challenge, supporting self-understanding and practical strategies for thriving across settings.

Dr Renee Cachia primarily uses the Conners assessments, paired with additional measures as needed — including child behaviour observations, semi-structured parent interviews, and cognitive assessment where appropriate — to build a clear, evidence-based picture of the child’s profile.

Cognitive, Educational & SLD

A thorough, neuroaffirming assessment of cognitive and academic functioning to understand how an individual processes information and learns. This process identifies strengths, learning differences, and specific learning disabilities (SLD) such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, or dyscalculia, as well as intellectual disabilities, giftedness, and twice-exceptional profiles.

Dr Renee Cachia uses the WISC and WIAT assessments, alongside school and teacher reports, to provide a clear, evidence-based understanding and practical recommendations that support confidence, learning, and personal growth.
